"Finland needs bold ideas to drive green innovation. Boka-Shi Finland Oy has developed a composting method that accelerates the process, produces fertilizer, and improves soil quality. Yet, the journey from idea to product is often long and slowed by Finland’s cautious attitude toward risk and limited startup funding. While China takes a bolder approach to financing and scaling green technologies, Finnish companies face tough global competition. Success requires both research and commercialization. Locally, mining plans in Rantasalmi highlight the tension between economic interests and environmental concerns."
